Bradley Jacobs Sigesmund (AKA BJ) got his start penning Newsweek’s politics-meets-pop culture section, “Newsmakers,” then served for years as a reporter, writer, and editor for Newsweek.com, as well as Wenner Media and Entertainment Weekly, regularly discussing news on CNN and MSNBC.
Pivoting to digital, he wrote a seven-days-a-week newsletter throughout Mike Bloomberg’s four-month “Mike 2020” presidential campaign, then authored the Bloomberg “Sheekey Daily Read” morning newsletter at Covid’s height in 2020 and 2021. That led to his role with NYU Langone Health as a digital writer and channel manager focused on employee engagement.
His series of first-person fatherhood essays for The Today Show, Oprah Daily, and USA Today inspired his award-winning gay soccer-dad family comedy TV pilot BALLS.
